"I'm a free Man! I will choose my own fate!". This sentence couldn't be typical of the Middle Age because at that time everybody relate only with a god and believe the teachings of the Church so couldn't choose their own destiny. Nowadays is the same because there isn't a own fate, there are only choices to do.
