Malala Yousafzai, is the 15-year-old girl from Pakistan’s Swat Valley who was shot in the head by the Taliban for her vocal support of education for girls. Her father, Ziauddin founded a school so she attended school since a early age and talked about her dream of an education at English television when she was 12. On the morning of Tuesday, 9 October 2012, Malala boarded her schoolbus in the northwest Pakistani district of Swat. A gunman get on the bus and he asked for Malala by name, then he shot. One bullet hit the left side of Malala's forehead, traveled under her skin the length of her face and then into her shoulder. The Taliban targeted Malala because she had been relentless in doing interviews across Pakistan and the world to press for her right, and the rights of other girls, to get an education.
