Malala's story:a short summary for a big woman
di Grazia Giulia Ribbeni - Thursday, 20 February 2014, 20:25

Malala is a Pakistani girl who used to live in the Swat Valley. However she isn't a teen-ager like the others because her father founded a school to let Pakistani girls get an education. For this reason Malala and her family were in danger because Talibans don't want girls in the schools.Malala was hopeful about her future and , with her best friend Moniba, imagined to become an important politician. Suddendly in the past other Malala's relatives were shot by Talibans but Malala couldn't imagine that it could occur to her. Suddendly it did. The 9 October 2012 seemed to be an ordinary day in the exams period. She was woken up by her parents, prepared herself in her simply furnished room and got on the bus. At a certain point , not much far from the school, a young man got on the bus and screamed:"WHO IS MALALA?" but nobody answered. He unfortunately saw that some girls were looking at Malala and shot three bullets. Two of theese shot Malala and the other one shot Moniba. After that day Malala's life changed and she moved to Birmingham with her family, appeared in TV and wrote a book named"I'Malala". Now she has a peaceful life there but she hope to return in Pakistan and sometimes imagines to stay with moniba in the Swat Valley. In spite of her young age she has the strenght of an adult. She grew following her father's footprints because she knows what she wants and she's going to continue fighting for women rights in Pakistan.

Very good!

Malala relatives who were shot were not children. She is the first very young woman to be shot.
